Enter the desert.

Sometimes we let tradition serve as an excuse to take very important events or seasons of the Church too lightly. They pass by as just another turn of the calendar we presume has been celebrated the same way for 2000 years.

What can you do differently this year? What devotion are you being called to? How can you serve Christ, your brothers and sisters?

It’s about more than giving up chocolate or soda, or trying to avoid something you’re not supposed to be doing anyway.

Where are your Rosary beads? How dusty is your Bible? What is your heart full of? I think you know the answer, I’m just a reminder.
