All last week, I was at a mission event through Homeworks in Aiken, SC. Aiken is about an hour away from where I live and where I got my start in contemporary liturgical music and youth ministry – eight years ago next month.

Very early in the week we received word that Mac McIntyre, the current director of music for the Life Teen at St. Mary Help of Christians in Aiken, passed away while traveling on business. The parish community is extremely close-knit and everyone knew and loved Mac and his Joy.

Mac leaves behind a beautiful family. Please pray that his wife and daughter will feel the Lord’s embrace of peace and love as they mourn. Pray for the Parish community in Aiken as they now walk without a brother who brought joy to every occasion and poured so much of himself into what he did for Our Lord and His Church.
