Something about the teenagers of the Diocese of Charleston is special. I’ve known that for years. But this weekend at the Diocese of Charleston’s Annual High School Youth Conference (which often is called “DYC”), some special things happened. I am now aware that the current group of dedicated teenagers on the Evangelization Team is a collection of super-awesome students. Under the direction of Jerry White, the Diocesan Director of Youth Ministry, the team runs the entire weekend and provides direction to speakers, emcee responsibilities, prayer leading, testimony, and they’re really a bunch of young people being Christ for the rest of the participants.

I’m always impressed, but their actions this weekend warranted extra attention. I’d especially like to shout out and say thanks to Amy, Wade, Kate, Jen, Wendy, Joseph, Grace, Claire, Andrew, Caitlin and David. God bless you all – with Christ at the center of your life, you have nothing to fear.
